Glen AhhaittyGlenn Ahhaitty comes from the Kiowa, Comanche and Cherokee peoples. He has been singing and dancing at Pow-Wow's since the early 70's. Having been a member of the well-respected Bad Medicine and Rose Hill drum groups, he currently is the lead singer for his own group, the Oklahoma Outlaws. He has had the privilege of serving as head singer at Pow-Wows throughout the United States. Currently residing in southern California, he attends school at Cal State Long Beach in addition to being a social worker. Glen was nominated for a Native American Music Award in 2007 in the Songwriter of the Year category. In 2008, Glen was invited to perform with Stevie Wonder and his "Drums of Unity" at the Democratic National Convention honoring future President Barrack Obama. News
Glen Ahhaitty & Stevie Wonder at DNC in Denver Canyon Records recording artist Glen Ahhaitty (Kiowa/Commanche of Oklahoma) performed at INVESCO Field in Denver,CO with legendary musician Stevie Wonder, just prior Barack Obama made his acceptance speed for the Democratic presidential nomination. Ahhaitty and other multi-cultural musicians appeared on stage with Wonder, adding drumming to a new song Wonder composed especially for this historic event.
