From one of the most prolific traditional Native American singers and songwriters, Randall Paskemin crafts a collection of songs to accompany children throughout the day and sweet lullabies to soothe them to sleep at night. Gently sung in both English and Cree, these songs share the loving family traditions of Native peoples and inspire joy and happiness in all children.
These original compositions by Sharon Burch were influenced by the Navajo (Dine) prayers and chants she heard as a child growing up on the Navajo reservation. Seven songs have Navajo lyrics (Navajo text and English translations included) and two have English and Navajo lyrics. Yazzie Girl is dedicated to Sharon's mother, Nan Yazzie Burch.
